Medium-length surf inspired swallow-tail cruiser with Slant surf/skate trucks for a surf-like carving experience. Longer in length with a fairly long wheelbase, the Chromantic set up as a surf/skate board offers a stable, easy flowing surf-like carving experience. It’s a great board choice for beginner to intermediate surf/skate riders and larger riders. With the sure footing of its 65mm conical wheels and mellow deck concave it makes wider predictable turns, but the swallow tail adds a nice playful punch. The deck features lo-fi art by Max Loeffler over dye washed maple veneers.

Feature Artist: Max Loeffler
Ongoing collaborator and avid surfer, Max hails from Germany and is a master of highly detailed post-modern art. Outside of what he’s done with Globe, a favourite highlight of ours has been his signature artwork for Dylan Graves’ pro model with Hayden Shapes. For this series he’s made a deliberate departure from his signature style to try something a bit more lo-fi.
Slant Surf/Skate Trucks
Globe Surf/Skate boards come standard with Slant™ Magnesium Surf/Skate Trucks. They’re roughly 25% lighter than aluminum trucks, have a lower center of gravity with integrated riser pads, and are backed by the Slant trucks guarantee. Our boards can be pumped to generate momentum, or pushed like a normal cruiser. They are skateboards after all.
Dye Washed Veneers
The abstract color blend of purple and green that permeate the top and bottom veneers of this deck are washed in and soaked up by the wood grain. The result is unique and no two boards are exactly alike.
Surf/Skate Guide
This general guide can help you choose a Surf/Skate based on the style of performance you’re after. Shorter wheelbase boards have a tighter turning arc, and a sharper pivot; more advanced riders will feel a high performance edge riding a board with a shorter wheelbase. A longer wheelbase board will have a mellower turning arc; beginner/intermediate riders will feel comfortable with the flowy, drawn-out turns akin to a longer surfboard.
There are no absolutes based on height or weight, so choose based on the style of surfing you enjoy, or whether you want to pump (instead of push) to generate speed more or less.
